How to deal with constipation

                    

Constipation is a condition in which generally a person finds difficulty in passing his bowel easily . When a person finds difficulty in passing a bowel for more than three days , then the person suffering from  constipation . Constipation is a common problem  .Sometimes it lasts for weeks or longer. It's a Latin word which means "to press, crowd together". Some people experience  three bowel movements a day, and  some may only have three bowel movements a week. Constipation is directly related to the digestive system. It is a most common complaint all around the world.  Almost every individual experiences it at some point in time in his life, and it's generally not serious. Still, sufferers only understand the difficulty of constipation. Constipation  can disturb  people of any age, but it is highly common in older age and pregnancy. Even kids also experience the symptoms of constipation.

Causes  of constipation :

People generally experience constipation when the colon absorbs too much water and if the muscles in the colon are contract very  slowly or poorly so that the stool moves very slowly and loses more water . The person who drinks enough water and consume a low-fiber diet, they tend to experience constipation quite often. Mostly Kids who eat lots of chocolates ,junk food,processed foods, cheeses, white bread and bagels, and meats may become constipated often. One more important  factor  which triggers constipation  is  a lack  of  exercise .Though constipation has some other serious causes like medications like painkillers, vitamins, over the use of the laxative anti-depressant, hypertensive drugs, antacid, and supplements, as well as serious medical conditions or illness.Taking dairy products also results in constipation in some people and Pregnant women also complain about the symptoms of constipation. There are also some other factors like among old people, changes in our normal routine like traveling, deliberately stopping the bowel movement, hypothyroidism, diabetes, eating disorder, colon cancer, alcohol, caffeine etc.

Symptoms of  constipation: 

 Chronic  constipation  has following  symptoms-

1.    Passing fewer than three stools a week
2.    Straining
3.    Sensation of incomplete defecation
4.    Difficult bowel movement
5.    Loss of appetite
6.    Feeling uncomfortable
7.    Nausea
8.    Weight loss
9.    Vomiting
10.  Abdominal pain
11.   Diarrhoea
12.   Feeling sluggish
13.   Bloody stools due to hemorrhoids and anal fissures .


How to deal with constipation :


    Exercise daily, make it a habit. Eat a well-balanced diet with plenty of fiber like fruits, vegetables, legumes, and whole-grain bread and cereal. Drink plenty of water almost 5 liters a day. If you have experience  constipation  taking  dairy products  than avoid  dairy  products . Make a daily and regular toilet routine don’t let it effect by any chance. Triphala Churna (a mixture of Indian gooseberry or amla, Haritaki, and vibhitaki) taken with honey is a great remedy for constipation.It is easily available in the market. Ginger tea is a great home remedy for constipation. It helps in starting bowel movements. Another remedy for constipation is to add a little extra sugar or some honey a glass of milk There are certain yoga asanas like Pawan Mukta asana, Vajra asana, Yog Madras, Dhanur asana these are much more effective for constipation.
