Papaya is  a very  common  fruit , easily available  ,tasty and  most importantly the  healthiest food among  all fruits. It has more nutritional value than   any other easily available fruits. It is easily available in the market throughout  the year . Great   Christopher Columbus called   this  fruit  as “fruit of the angels”.
   Papayas are spherical in-shaped and usually as 20 inches long. Papayas grow in tropical climates and are also known as papaws. They are sweet in taste, vibrant in color and have lots of health benefits .So it is highly recommended  to add papaya into your diet. This fruit has more medicinal value. The health benefits of papayas are  proper digestion, relief from a toothache,strengthen the  immune system and the overall promotion of better heart health. Papaya also helps to prevent cancer.

Health Benefits of Papaya

Papayas offer not only taste the fruit itself looks healthy, it looks green and yellowish in color.In India, Papaya is used to make Halwa, coolers, chutneys, Pachadi etc.Raw papaya is considered to be one of the best agents to tenderize meat and is extensively used in the making of Kabab. Cosmetics, pa-pin is used in some toothpaste, shampoos, and facial creams. Papaya is rich in antioxidant nutrients such as carotenes, flavanoids and vitamin –C as well as vitamin -B. It is also a good source of fiber and minerals such as magnesium.

1. Protect the heart : Papayas are very helpful for the prevention of atherosclerosis and diabetic heart disease. The seeds of papayas are good for a healthy heart. Having three powerful antioxidant vitamins, namely vitamin A, vitamin C and vitamin E, mean that papayas are helpful in preventing problems such as atherosclerosis and diabetic heart disease. An increase in potassium intake along with a decrease in sodium intake is the most important dietary change that a person can make to reduce their risk of cardiovascular disease. Papayas are also a good source of fiber, which lowers the high cholesterol levels. The folic  acid  present  in papayas  converts a substance called homocysteine into benign amino acids such as  cysteine.

2. Digestion: The enzyme papain present in papaya is known to aid digestion by breaking down proteins. Papaya is also high in fiber and water content, both of which help to prevent constipation  and promote regularity and a healthy digestive tract.
